A late summer flowering perennial ideal for wet areas.  Plants form wiry branching stems with small round lavender flowers. Common to damp meadows in the UK it naturally suits planting alongside grasses. Second year flowering.

Sowing method : Direct sowing where they are to grow is ideal but can also be sown inside in spring and transplanted after the last frost. A cold start is ideal.
When to sow : Autumn/ Spring
Depth : 6mm
Germination : 14-42 days 
Ideal germination temperature : Cold stratify seeds.  Either sow in a pot and leave outside over winter OR sow into moist seed raising mix at approx 20 °C for 2-4 weeks. Then cold stratify. Move to the fridge for 4-6 weeks and then return to warmth Germination should occur. If it does not, repeat the process. Germination can take many months.
