I adore this hardy, clump forming perennial for its tall and dainty, vivid purple flowers and the branching stems that give the plant a lovely airy feel. It will grow in most soil conditions and in full sun or part shade. It's tough and does well amongst grasses, on exposed banks and in woodland plantings. Deciduous and easily divided at any time.
