Originating from Mexico, Zinnias like heat so choose your sunniest spot and you will be rewarded. Direct sow is the way to go as Zinnia don't like their roots being disturbed. What does that mean?! It means sow where you want them to grow, starting inside then transplanting can result in struggling plants with weak stems and small or single instead of double blooms.
