Trollius 'New Moon'
Trollius 'New Moon'
Seeds per packet : 50
This is one of my most treasured spring flowering plants. Belonging to the ranunculus family it has the same cupped petals that ranunculus do but on lovely long stems. The flowers are mostly a soft lemon but the occasional plant will be bright yellow.
Plants flower in their second year and a cold period is required for germination.
Common Name : Globe Flower

Germinate using moisture + warmth/cold/warmth
Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed raising medium and cover lightly. Keep at 18-22°C for 2-4 weeks (a heat mat is ideal) then move to cold -5°C (I have a chiller draw in my fridge) for 4-6 weeks then return to warmth 5-12°C (a glass house is ideal) where the seeds should germinate.
